Tourism without travelling - bringing tourism to people’s homes
Description
There are already many remote tourism experiences - tourist experiences, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home - available on the internet. However, these experiences feel rather repetetive and get boring quite quickly. The goal of this thesis is to find out how remote tourism experiences can be made more similar to on-site tourism experiences. Mainly focusing on the influence that multiple senses, social aspects and souvenirs can have, two versions of a remote tourism experience of Würzburg have been created and tested with participants from all over the world.
