With our Unity-plug-in we are introducing a different approach to State Machines. Instead of assigning them to agents, the user attaches Decentralized State Machines to objects within the scene, which the agents can switch into. The resulting modularity, scalabilty and reusability, combined with the support for behaviour planning helps creating dynamic worlds full of NPCs.
