ALIFE Best Poster Award

Games Engineering alumni Jan von Pichowski and Prof. von Mammen won the Best Poster Award at ALIFE 2023. ALIFE has been the major scientific venue of the artificial life research community since the late 1980s and has been hosted by the International Society for Artificial Life (ISAL, https://alife.org). Jan presented the work of his bachelor thesis at the conference hosted in Sapporo, Japan at the end of July. He trained various neural networks to replace the computationally demanding algorithmic model of a highly dynamic swarm of boid agents.
