Phishing is the attempt to steal sensitive information like passwords by sending fraudulent and deceptive messages to victims. Phishing is the most common attack by cybercriminals creating an average cost of $1,500 per employee per year.
That’s why this study investigates what makes people fall for phishing attempts by conducting an online role-play study that tries to uncover connections between characteristics of people and their behaviors in response to phishing emails.
